Temperature Probes
Find a temperature probe suited to the surface or material you need to measure. SL Measurement supplies Anritsu probes for stationary surfaces, moving rollers, wires, liquids and semi-solid materials, with different sensing heads and installation arrangements.
Select the probe and thermometer together. The measurement task determines the probe shape, while the instrument determines the required sensor type and connector.
Surface temperature probes
For stationary surfaces, choose the sensing head around the target's shape, size and accessibility. These probe families offer different ways to establish contact:

Moving and rotating surface probes
For rollers, moving surfaces and wires, provide the surface speed, material, shape and temperature. Include the target diameter where the contact surface is curved.

Needle and insertion probes
For internal measurements, select the probe diameter, insertion length and construction around the material being measured. Confirm the required depth, temperature range and cleaning conditions.

Special-purpose temperature probes
For specialised measurements, select a probe designed for the target and operating conditions. Check the individual limits of the sensing tip, cable, handle and connector.

- Anritsu HHT series high-temperature surface probes — dedicated designs for high-temperature surface measurement.

Describe how the sensor will be positioned and how long it will remain in contact. The sensing tip, cable, handle and connector may have different operating limits.
Check compatibility before ordering
- Instrument: Provide the thermometer or data logger model.
- Sensor type: Confirm the required thermocouple type, such as Type K or Type E, for the selected probe.
- Connector: Match the instrument input and existing connection arrangement.
- Measuring range: Include normal temperatures and any short-duration peaks.
- Dimensions: Specify sensing-head size, insertion length, probe diameter and cable length where relevant.
- Working conditions: Include movement, moisture, cleaning and contact with chemicals or food.
