Palmer Wahl Products
America's first thermometer company originated in Cincinnati, OH in 1836. Since that time, Palmer Instruments has steadily evolved through product development geared exclusively towards industrial supply and process measurement. Operating from a new facility in Asheville, NC since 1987, Palmer has developed special-application products such as Dual-Sensing and "Slip-fit" thermometers, and pioneered new industry services. With the recent affiliation with Wahl Instruments, and resulting consolidation of manufacturing in Asheville, Palmer Instruments looks first to the future.
America's first thermometer company originated in Cincinnati, OH in 1836. Since that time, Palmer Instruments has steadily evolved through product development geared exclusively towards industrial supply and process measurement.
From development of the "Foster Cup" thermometer in 1880, through the radical improvement of thermometer legibility by the patented "Red Reading Mercury" tube in 1929, to today's temperature and pressure measurement innovations, Palmer has always maintained the "first" tradition by bringing instrument value, service and quality to a broad range of industries.

The Palmer Wahl 524 differential pressure chart recorder produces a paper record for reviewing filter pressure drop and suitable flow or liquid-level measurement systems. Optional pens allow static pressure and temperature to be recorded alongside differential pressure.
- Chart size: 12-inch circular chart with pipestand mounting.
- DP ranges: Select from 0–20, 0–50, 0–100, 0–200, 0–300 or 0–400 inches of water.
- Recording channels: One differential-pressure pen, with optional static-pressure and temperature pens.
- Chart drive: PC-11 battery-operated multi-speed drive as standard.
- Construction: Mechanical dual-bellows measurement system in a powder-coated aluminium case.
Palmer Wahl pressure and temperature chart recorders provide a paper record of measurements over time. Choose an 8-inch or 12-inch recorder with an aluminium or Pelican® case, configured for pressure, temperature or combined recording.
- Recording options: Up to three pens, depending on configuration.
- Chart drives: Battery-operated, with spring-wound and electric options available.
- Installation: Portable and fixed-mount configurations.
The Wahl DP Series differential pressure transmitter measures the pressure difference between two points in a compatible gas or liquid system. Its dual pressure ports support filter pressure-drop monitoring and industrial process measurement.
- Construction: Silicon sensing technology with 304 stainless steel housing and sensor construction.
- Range options: Catalogue selections from 5 to 500 psi; custom ranges by enquiry.
- Output options: 2-wire 4–20 mA or 3-wire voltage output.
- Accuracy: Ultra-high, Standard and Economy options to suit the measurement requirement.
- Connections: Selectable process threads and electrical connectors for installation or replacement work.
The Wahl SS and CS Series pressure transmitters convert process pressure into an electrical signal for compatible PLCs, controllers, indicators and data acquisition systems. Choose a silicon or ceramic sensor to suit the pressure range and measured medium.
- SS Series: Silicon pressure sensor with a stainless steel diaphragm.
- CS Series: Dry ceramic pressure sensor for applications requiring suitable chemical and corrosion resistance.
- Signal options: 4–20 mA or voltage output, selected when ordering.
- Accuracy options: 0.05%, 0.08% or 0.10% of full scale, subject to the specified operating conditions.
- Installation: Compact 304 stainless steel housing with selectable process and electrical connections.
