Pressure Transmitters, Recorders & Barometers | SL

Pressure Instruments

Pressure instruments measure conditions in process lines, monitor differences between two points and record atmospheric pressure. SL Measurement supplies pressure transmitters, differential pressure sensors, chart recorders and barometers for industrial and environmental measurement.

Start by identifying what you need to measure: line pressure, room or filter differential pressure, atmospheric pressure, or contact pressure between surfaces. Each requires a different measurement arrangement.

Process pressure transmitters

Pressure transmitters convert measurements into electrical signals for controllers, indicators and data acquisition systems. Select the pressure range, wetted materials and process connection to suit the liquid or gas being measured.

Low differential pressure for rooms and HVAC

Room pressure and ventilation measurements often involve small differences measured in pascals. Match the sensor range to normal operating conditions and expected excursions, and check the air quality reaching the sensing ports.

Pressure chart recorders

Chart recorders provide a visible paper history of pressure changes. Choose the pressure range, chart diameter and recording period, then confirm the connection and matching chart paper.

Digital pressure monitoring and alarms

Electronic monitoring suits applications requiring measurement history, local alarms or remote access. Confirm the sensor range, data retrieval method and any software subscription needed.

  • Dickson TWP touchscreen data logger — supports differential pressure monitoring with a compatible sensor, local readings and audible and visual alarms. DicksonOne remote features require the appropriate subscription.

Barometers and atmospheric pressure recorders

Barometers measure atmospheric pressure for observations, testing and environmental records. Choose a digital display for direct readings or a barograph for a continuous paper trace.

Contact pressure measurement film

Contact pressure describes loading between surfaces, such as rollers, press platens and gaskets. Pressure-sensitive film helps reveal the contact pattern and uneven loading.

Selecting the right pressure instrument

  • Pressure type: Gauge, absolute, differential, atmospheric or surface contact pressure.
  • Range: Normal operating pressure, maximum pressure and possible pressure surges.
  • Medium: Air, gas or liquid, including temperature and material compatibility.
  • Installation: Process thread, pressure tubing, mounting position and available space.
  • Results: Local display, paper chart, electronic records, alarms or an output to another system.

Discuss your pressure measurement

Send the application, required pressure range, measured medium and connection details. For replacements, include a nameplate photograph and the full model code. Identify any separate sensor, tubing or recording consumables required.
