Instrument Consumables
Recorder chart paper, cartridge pens and ink ribbons help keep your measurement records clear and usable. SL Measurement supplies recording consumables for temperature, humidity, pressure and other instruments, alongside pressure measurement film for checking contact between surfaces.
Start with the recorder model and the part number printed on your existing chart, pen or packaging. Similar-looking consumables may have different scales, dimensions or fittings.
Recorder chart paper
Chart paper must match the recorder's measurement scale and recording period as well as its physical format. Check the printed units, chart dimensions and paper reference before choosing a replacement.
- Dickson chart paper — browse circular chart references by chart size, time period and measurement range for compatible Dickson recorders.
- Isuzu chart paper — identify the paper required for your existing recorder, including the appropriate weekly or monthly format.
- Kobayashi chart paper — recording paper for a range of measurement instruments. Provide the recorder model and existing paper code to help identify the correct reference.
Recording pens, cartridge pens and ribbons
Select recording pens and ribbons by their part number and recorder compatibility. Pen colour alone does not identify the correct fitting, and different recording channels may require different pen arrangements.
- Recording pens and ribbons — explore cartridge pens, ink ribbons and other recording consumables for instruments from brands including Dickson, Isuzu, Sato, Sekonic and Yokogawa. Availability depends on the exact reference.
For an unidentified pen, send photographs of the installed pen, its mounting arrangement and any markings on the cartridge or packaging.
Pressure measurement film
Pressure-sensitive film reveals the contact pattern between loaded surfaces. It can help assess uneven loading across rollers, press platens, clamps and gasket contact areas.
- FUJIFILM Prescale pressure measurement film — develops a coloured impression where pressure is applied. Choose the grade according to the expected contact pressure, temperature, humidity and loading duration.
How to identify the correct consumable
- Instrument: Manufacturer and full recorder model number.
- Part reference: Code printed on the chart, cartridge, ribbon or packaging.
- Chart scale: Measurement range and units, such as °C, %RH, hPa or psi.
- Recording period: The time represented by one chart or the paper speed used by the recorder.
- Physical format: Chart diameter, sheet dimensions, roll width or pen fitting.
- Quantity: Number of packs required and the expected sheets or items per pack.
Consumables for older recorders
If your recorder has been discontinued, send its model number and existing consumable references so availability can be checked. A replacement recorder may use different paper and pens.
For instrument replacement options, browse our recorders and data loggers or pressure instruments.
Request chart paper, pens or recording supplies
Send your part number, recorder model and quantity. If the reference is missing, include clear photographs of the consumable and the recorder nameplate.

Reveal contact pressure and uneven loading with FUJIFILM Prescale pressure measurement film. The film develops a red impression where pressure is applied, helping you inspect the contact pattern between mating surfaces.
- Pressure range: Nine standard grades covering 0.006–300 MPa.
- Applications: Roller contact, press platens, clamping, assembly and gasket contact checks.
- Film construction: Two-sheet and mono-sheet types, depending on the selected grade.
- Selection: Choose according to expected contact pressure, temperature, humidity and loading duration.
