Anritsu SF Series extra-fine flexible temperature probes for internal measurement in liquids, materials and confined locations.
The Anritsu SF Series is a flexible internal temperature probe made from extra-fine thermocouple wire covered with a fluororesin sheath.
Its slim and flexible construction allows the sensing wire to be positioned inside liquids, materials, narrow spaces and locations that are difficult to reach with a conventional rigid temperature probe.
The SF Series is available with Type K or Type E thermocouples and several fine-wire lengths from 500 mm to 2000 mm.
The SF Series uses an extra-fine thermocouple wire with a fluororesin-coated sheath. The flexible construction allows the probe to bend and follow the available measurement space.
This makes it suitable for internal measurements where a rigid stainless-steel probe would be too large, too stiff or difficult to position.
The SF probe does not use a conventional rigid handle and insertion shaft. Instead, the flexible thermocouple section itself is positioned at the required measurement point.

The three-digit section of the SF model number identifies the length of the extra-fine thermocouple section.

The SF Series is intended for internal temperature measurement where the sensing element needs to be placed inside the material or measurement space.
Because the sensing section is flexible, it can be positioned around obstacles or routed through narrow openings that would not accept a rigid insertion probe.
The flexible wire should be handled carefully and should not be pulled, crushed or repeatedly bent sharply at the same point.
The SF Series has a published response time of approximately 2 seconds.
Anritsu defines probe response time as the time required to detect approximately 99% of the true value under its specified boiling-water or boiling-steam test conditions.
