The Anritsu ST and STN Series are thin, flexible temperature probes designed for surface attachment, insertion into narrow spaces and temperature measurement of objects with low heat capacity.
The flat tape construction can be fixed to a measurement surface using suitable adhesive tape, allowing the sensing point to remain in position during testing.
Different tape widths, tip shapes, coatings, thermocouple types and lengths are available for low- and high-temperature applications.
The ST Series is supplied as a complete probe with cable and connector, while the STN Series uses a replaceable tape-type sensing element with a dedicated extension cable.
The very small thermal mass of the sensing tape makes the ST / STN Series particularly suitable for components and surfaces where a larger probe could influence the measured temperature.
The ST Series combines the sensing tape, lead cable and connector as one complete temperature probe.
It is configurable by tape width and shape, coating, thermocouple type, tape length, cable type, cable length and connector.
Four basic tape constructions are available. Each can be combined with standard or narrow tape widths and either a sharp or flat sensing end.

The ST Series is available with either Type K or Type E thermocouples. Tape length is selected according to the measurement position.

*For high-temperature ST-*3 and ST-*4 probes, the maximum is 400°C when the tape length is 150 mm or shorter and 350°C when the tape exceeds 150 mm.

The STN Series uses a replaceable tape-type sensing element. The replaceable sensor connects to a dedicated STN extension cable rather than having a permanent cable attached to every sensing tape.
This arrangement is useful where thin sensing tapes are installed repeatedly or where several replaceable sensing elements are required.
Selected STN sensing elements are supplied in sets of five.
