Measure transferred oil volume with a Tokico electronic positive displacement flowmeter. The digital counter provides local readings of accumulated volume, resettable volume and instantaneous flow. Output options connect the meter to compatible counters, recorders and control systems.
Select the meter for the actual liquid and operating conditions. Diesel, heavy oil and crude palm oil (CPO) applications require different checks for viscosity, temperature, flow capacity and wetted materials.
Tokico electronic oil flowmeter. Meter construction and counter options depend on the selected configuration.

Ordering-code note: These references identify the meter body and electronic output configuration. The complete ordering code also includes an attachment suffix, such as -X for no attachment. Confirm the complete code and temperature configuration when ordering.
Replacing a -72X meter? Supply the existing nameplate and full model code. Connection size alone does not confirm interchangeability: capacity, materials, oil service and counter functions must also match. Compatibility for an indicator-only replacement requires a separate check.
Electronic counter and signal options
The Type 75 counter displays total volume, resettable volume and instantaneous flow. Its viewing angle adjusts in 15-degree steps to help operators read the display at the installation.
| Output code | Function | Typical requirement |
| 75XX |
Local indication without signal output |
Reading and recording volume directly at the meter |
| 75PX |
Non-contact pulse output |
Sending volume pulses to a compatible external counter or PLC |
| 75XA |
4–20 mA analogue output |
Sending a flow-rate signal to a compatible monitoring or control system |
| 75PA |
Pulse and 4–20 mA analogue outputs |
Remote volume counting together with flow-rate monitoring |
Electrical requirements: Pulse and analogue output operation requires an external 12–24 V DC supply. Specify the required pulse value, analogue flow span and receiving equipment when ordering. Any alarm function must also be confirmed for the selected configuration.
Battery life: The catalogue states approximately 10 years from manufacture, subject to operating conditions. This is not a guaranteed 10-year service period from installation.
Selecting the measuring unit
FGB models use gear-type rotors, while FRL models use roots-type rotors. Both apply positive displacement measurement, but their capacity, materials and operating limits differ.
Specify the lowest and highest flow rates the meter will experience, including start-up and transfer conditions. Confirm whether operation is continuous or intermittent, and provide the viscosity at the actual operating temperature.
Pressure and temperature ratings must be checked against the complete meter specification. Do not apply the maximum rating of one configuration to every model in the range.
CPO and heated-oil applications
For a crude palm oil flowmeter enquiry, provide the normal transfer temperature, minimum start-up temperature and viscosity. Include details of any heating, flushing or cleaning cycle.
Confirm compatibility with the selected wetted materials and seals. A configuration selected for ambient-temperature diesel should not automatically be used for heated palm oil.
If the measurement will be used for sales, receipt reconciliation or reporting in tonnes, state this when enquiring. The required volume or mass basis, density information and documentation can then be reviewed.
Mechanical or electronic indication?
Choose the counter according to how the reading will be used: local inspection, transfer records, remote counting or connection to a monitoring system.
For a mechanical counter arrangement, compare the Tokico mechanical positive displacement oil flowmeter.
