Sato measuring instruments
Sato instruments cover temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind, rainfall, pH and liquid concentration. The range includes handheld meters, data loggers, chart recorders, transmitters, weather sensors, heat-stress monitors and timers.
SL Measurement helps you select the instrument, compatible sensor and accessories around your application. Start with what you need to measure and whether you require a local reading, recorded history or output to another system.
Contact thermometers and temperature probes
For contact measurements, choose the probe around the material, insertion depth and working conditions. Check the instrument and probe specifications together.
Sato SK-270WP-K thermometer and S270WP probes — a waterproof thermometer for routine temperature checks, supplied with the S270WP-01 probe. Dedicated probe options suit different measurement tasks.
Room-condition meters provide readings where staff can check them directly. Consider display visibility, sensor position and whether minimum, maximum or alarm functions are needed.
Sato Highest II 7542-00 — combines an analogue humidity dial with a digital temperature display.
Choose electronic logging when readings need to be reviewed over time. Match the number of channels, recording interval and probe arrangement to the measurement location.
Sato SK-L750 series data loggers — select the SK-L751 for two temperature channels or the SK-L754 for temperature and humidity. See the product page for probe options and data-transfer details.
A thermohygrograph provides a visible paper history of temperature and humidity. Select the temperature range and recording period, then match the chart paper and pens to the recorder.
For measurements sent to a controller or monitoring system, confirm the required output, power supply and sensor position.
Sato SK-RHC-I transmitter and probes — combines a local display with 4–20 mA outputs. Plug-in, remote-cable and slim remote probe arrangements are available; probes are sold separately.
Barometers and atmospheric pressure recorders
Choose a barometer for atmospheric pressure readings or a barograph to retain a paper record of pressure changes.
Sato SK-500B digital barometer — provides a numerical pressure display and RS-232C communication for compatible recording equipment.
Weather measurement systems require compatible sensors and receiving equipment. Specify the installation position, cable length, power supply and required output when selecting the system.
For pH measurement, select the electrode according to the sample, temperature and measurement arrangement. Electrode dimensions and construction matter when working with small samples, test tubes or surfaces.
Refractometers use refractive index to assess liquids on a specified measurement scale. Select the model according to the sample and expected concentration range.
WBGT instruments combine environmental measurements to help assess heat conditions at a measurement location.
Sato SK-170GT WBGT heat-stress monitor — measures air temperature, humidity and globe temperature, with indoor and outdoor settings and an adjustable WBGT alarm.
Non-contact countdown timers
Dedicated timers provide a timing reference for repeated workstation tasks, preparation routines and handwashing stations.
Sato TM-27 and TM-29 timers — start a countdown by moving a hand over the sensor. Choose the model according to the required timing range and adjustment interval.
Probes, accessories and recording consumables
Use the full instrument model and accessory reference when ordering replacements. Similar-looking probes are not necessarily interchangeable, and measurement range depends on the selected instrument and sensor combination.
For paper recorders, provide the chart reference, measurement scale and recording period. Browse our recording consumables or check the individual recorder page for matching paper and pen references.

Include any probe, electrode, cable, chart paper or calibration documentation required with the instrument.
Check temperatures, save readings and receive an audible alert when a set limit is reached. This Sato SK-1260 set includes the SK-S100K Type K probe for liquids, viscous liquids and semisolid materials.
The supplied probe is rated from −100 to 300°C; the meter displays readings from −99.9°C with this probe. The set also includes four AAA batteries, a carrying pouch and an instruction manual. Other probes and the printer are sold separately.
Check surface temperatures without contact using the Sato SK-8950 infrared thermometer. Its circular laser marker helps position the measurement, while IP54 protection supports handling with wet hands.
Wide measuring range: -60 to 550°C with 0.1°C resolution.
Adjustable emissivity: 0.10 to 1.00 for different surface materials.
Practical inspection functions: MAX, MIN, average, temperature difference and high/low alarms.
Check heat conditions at worksites, sports facilities and outdoor activity areas with the Sato SK-170GT WBGT monitor. Its built-in black globe accounts for radiant heat while the instrument displays WBGT, air temperature, globe temperature and relative humidity.
Choose indoor or outdoor measurement mode, set a WBGT alarm and review maximum or minimum readings. One 9 V battery and a hard carrying case are included.
The Sato PC-5410TRH digital thermohygrometer displays indoor temperature and relative humidity on a large screen, with maximum and minimum readings visible alongside current measurements.
Measurement: 0.0 to 50.0°C and 20.0 to 95.0% RH.
Alarms: Adjustable upper and lower limits with buzzer and LED indication.
Installation: Wall mounting or desktop placement.
Replacement model: PC-5410TRH replaces the discontinued PC-5400TRH.
Start a countdown without pressing a button with the Sato TM-27 and TM-29 non-contact timers. Hold your hand over the sensor to begin timing, making them practical for handwashing stations, food preparation areas and repetitive workstation tasks.
