Keep timed routines moving with Sato TM-27 and TM-29 non-contact countdown timers. Once the required duration has been set, a hand movement over the sensor starts the countdown without touching a start button.
Choose the TM-27 for a short, repeated interval or the TM-29 when tasks require longer durations and finer time settings. Both provide a local timing reminder that staff can use at the point of work.

TM-27 for short, repeated timing
The TM-27 / 1707-20 suits a workstation where the same short interval is used repeatedly. Set the duration using the rear button, then start each countdown by holding a hand over the sensor.
After the countdown ends, the alarm sounds for approximately five seconds and the display returns to the preset duration, ready for the next use.
Sato TM-27: short countdowns from 5 to 90 seconds.
TM-29 for longer tasks and selectable alarms
The TM-29 / 1707-30 provides a wider setting range for tasks lasting seconds or minutes. Its three selectable alarm patterns help users choose an audible indication appropriate to the workstation, while the LED and LCD also flash when time is up.
The front panel has IPX1 drip protection. This rating applies to the front panel only; it does not make the complete timer suitable for immersion or washdown.
Sato TM-29: countdown settings up to 99 minutes 59 seconds.

Timing at the point of work
- Handwashing stations: Provide a visible countdown for the duration specified in your workplace procedure.
- Food preparation: Start a preset interval without pressing a timer button during the task.
- Workstations: Give staff a local reminder for repeated waiting or processing steps.
- Training areas: Demonstrate timed routines with a clear display and end-of-countdown alarm.
Select the timer according to the required duration and how staff will see or hear the alarm. The timer supports the routine; it does not verify that the task has been completed correctly.
Placement and supplied accessories
The TM-27 provides a stand and rear magnet, with an adapter plate supplied for installation. The TM-29 offers magnetic mounting, an adapter plate and a hanging hook.
Position the timer where the display is visible and the sensor can be reached deliberately. Keep the sensor area clear and check operation after installation.
Both models are supplied with three AAA batteries, an adapter plate and an instruction manual.
