Maintain upstream gas pressure with the KOFLOC 6800 series back pressure regulator. Installed on the discharge side of the controlled volume, the valve releases gas as pressure rises above its setting.

This operating principle differs from a pressure-reducing regulator, which controls downstream pressure. Identify which side of the system needs pressure control before selecting a valve.

Applications and operating principle

The 6800 series can be used for tank pressure regulation and mixed-gas systems. In an arrangement requiring both controlled pressure and constant discharge flow, a separate constant-flow valve performs the flow-control function.

For equipment builders, the compact panel-mount design provides a practical way to incorporate manual pressure adjustment into a gas circuit.

Compare the 6800 models

ModelPressure settingMaximum exhaust flow
6800A 0.01–0.3 MPa(G) 1 L/min
6800B 0.01–0.6 MPa(G) 0.8 L/min
6800AL 0.01–0.3 MPa(G) 10 L/min
6800BL 0.01–0.6 MPa(G) 10 L/min

Selection note: Maximum exhaust flow depends on operating conditions. Check the required discharge flow at the intended pressure setting rather than selecting from the maximum figure alone.

Connections and material options

ItemSpecification
Controlled medium Gas, subject to material compatibility
Temperature range 5–60°C
Connections Rc 1/4 standard; Rc 1/8 option
A material option — wetted parts Aluminium, brass, NBR and POM
SS material option — wetted parts SUS316, FKM and fluorocarbon resin
Gauge-port lock plug With or without, according to the ordering configuration

The model designation and material option are separate selections. Specify both when ordering, together with the connection size and gauge-port arrangement.

Selecting a regulator for your gas system

Provide the following details so the valve configuration can be reviewed against your application:

  • Gas: Gas name or mixture, including any material compatibility requirements.
  • Pressure: Required upstream setting and expected operating pressure.
  • Discharge: Required exhaust flow and downstream pressure conditions.
  • Installation: Connection size, panel arrangement and gauge-port requirements.
  • Existing equipment: Full model code or a photograph of the valve being replaced.

Contact us for pricing and availability. Include the required quantity and your operating details to help identify the appropriate 6800 configuration.
