The Sato SK-L200THIIα temperature and humidity datalogger is discontinued. For new installations and replacement enquiries, choose from the Sato SK-L750 series data loggers.
The SK-L754 is the appropriate model for applications that require both temperature and relative humidity recording. The SK-L751 is an alternative for temperature-only work. Select the logger and probe together to match the measurement conditions.
SK-L200THIIα replacement guide
| Existing equipment or requirement | Replacement selection | Ordering reference |
| SK-L200THIIα temperature and humidity datalogger |
SK-L754 temperature and humidity datalogger, with a separately selected probe |
8870-00 main unit |
| Temperature and humidity measured beside the logger |
SK-L754 with SK-L754-1 plug-in probe |
8870-00 + 8880-01 |
| Temperature and humidity measured away from the logger body |
SK-L754 with SK-L754-2 probe and 1.6 m cable |
8870-00 + 8880-02 |
| Temperature-only recording |
SK-L751 two-channel temperature datalogger with suitable temperature probes |

Replacement compatibility: These are functional replacement selections. Do not assume that older probes, cables or software can be transferred to the new logger. Confirm the complete logger-and-probe arrangement before ordering.
Selecting the SK-L754 replacement probe
| Probe | Part number | Configuration | Measurement range |
| SK-L754-1 |
8880-01 |
Plug-in probe for measuring conditions around the logger |
Temperature: -10 to 60°C Humidity: 5 to 95% RH |
| SK-L754-2 |
8880-02 |
Remote probe with 1.6 m cable |
Temperature: -20 to 80°C Humidity: 5 to 95% RH |
The remote probe allows the sensing point to be positioned separately from the display. Its measuring range does not mean that the logger body can be exposed to the same conditions. Check the main unit’s operating limits and the installation environment.
For a narrow opening or an existing probe holder, provide the available clearance and mounting details. The replacement probe should be checked for physical fit as well as measurement range.
Original SK-LTHIIα probes: identification reference
The discontinued logger used the following probe types. These references help identify existing equipment and should not be treated as SK-L754 probe ordering codes. Availability of legacy probes must be checked separately.
| Original probe | Part number | Construction | Replacement approach |
| SK-LTHIIα-1 |
8176-00 |
Plug-in type |
Consider SK-L754 with SK-L754-1 for measurement beside the logger. |
| SK-LTHIIα-2 |
8177-00 |
Remote sensor with cable |
Consider SK-L754 with SK-L754-2; check cable routing and mounting. |
| SK-LTHIIα-3 |
8178-00 |
Stick-type remote sensor with cable |
Review the installation dimensions before selecting a replacement probe. |

Existing logger records and software
Before retiring an older logger, download and archive the records you need. Keep the original files, exported results and information identifying the logger and probe used.
Sato provides a separate software download for the SK-L200 and SK-L200II families. USB driver selection depends on the instrument’s serial number. Use the software intended for your exact logger generation when retrieving historical measurements.

Legacy real-time transmission software. This is not the SK-L750 series software interface.
Plan the change to the SK-L750 series
- Measurement: Confirm whether both temperature and humidity are required.
- Sensor position: Choose a plug-in probe or a remote probe with cable.
- Working conditions: State normal and maximum temperature and humidity, including any condensation exposure.
- Recording: Specify the logging interval and the duration of each monitoring run.
- Documentation: Identify any calibration points or certificates required for the new logger and probe.
For routine records, establish the new logger’s settings and file-handling procedure before removing the existing unit from service.
