RCM Products

RCM flowmeters and flow switches provide local flow indication and adjustable flow alarms. Explore Flo-Gage differential pressure flowmeters for liquids and gases, and Flo-Gard II switches for cooling-water and compatible process-liquid systems.

RCM Flowmeters & Liquid Flow Switches

SL Measurement supplies RCM Flo-Gage differential pressure flowmeters and Flo-Gard II liquid flow switches. Choose according to the information your installation needs: a flow-rate reading at the pipe, a switching signal at a selected threshold, or an optional output for remote monitoring.

Flo-Gage Flowmeters for Liquids & Gases

The RCM Flo-Gage displays flow rate on an analogue dial. Its basic mechanical indicator operates without an external power supply, making it useful for routine checks at the pipeline.

Liquid and gas configurations can be specified for water, compatible oils, compressed air and other suitable gases. The meter must be selected for the fluid and operating conditions so its scale matches the application.

  • Series 7000: Threaded connections for installation into compatible pipework.
  • Series 8000: Wafer construction for installation between compatible flanges.
  • Optional functions: Alarm switches and transmitter configurations, subject to model selection.

Flo-Gard II Liquid Flow Switches

The RCM Flo-Gard II provides a contact signal when liquid flow crosses a selected setpoint. Applications include cooling-water circuits, chillers, heat exchangers and compatible process-liquid lines.

Configurations include one or two independently adjustable SPDT reed switches, with optional LED switching-status indication. The connected control system determines the response, such as displaying an alarm or operating an equipment interlock.

Specify both the normal flow and the required switching threshold. For an existing control circuit, include its voltage and load requirements so contact compatibility can be checked.

Information for Instrument Selection

Please include the following details with your enquiry:

  • Medium: Liquid or gas name, including mixture composition where applicable.
  • Flow: Minimum, normal and maximum rates, with units.
  • Conditions: Operating pressure and temperature.
  • Installation: Pipe size, connection standard and mounting arrangement.
  • Required result: Local reading, alarm contacts or remote signal.
  • Switching: Required setpoint or setpoints for a flow alarm.

Replacing an Existing RCM Instrument?

Send photographs of the nameplate, dial and connections, together with the complete model code. Include any wiring details if the installed unit has switches or a transmitter.

These details help identify the configuration and check the requirements for a replacement.
