Monnit ALTA Wireless Sensors & Remote Monitoring

Monnit ALTA sensors collect measurements from rooms, equipment and remote sensing points for ongoing monitoring. SL Measurement supplies wireless sensor options for temperature, relative humidity, pressure, differential pressure, carbon dioxide and soil moisture.

Start with the measurement you need, then consider the sensor location, reporting interval and monitoring arrangement. Probe configuration, enclosure and wireless coverage are important when selecting equipment for an existing installation or a new system.


Wireless Temperature & Humidity Sensors

Temperature and relative humidity monitoring helps track environmental conditions in rooms and enclosures. The ALTA humidity sensor reports both measurements to iMonnit, where readings can be reviewed and used to configure threshold notifications. Applications include greenhouses, museums and environmental monitoring.


Wireless Thermocouple Sensors & Probe Options

For temperature measurement at a separate sensing point, the ALTA thermocouple sensor connects a temperature probe to a wireless transmitter. Applications include ovens, flues and other heated equipment, with the probe selected to suit the actual temperature and installation.

Options include a hardwired needle-style probe and a K-type connector version. Confirm the probe range, dimensions, lead length and connection before ordering. The transmitter enclosure must also remain within its own operating temperature limits.


Wireless Pressure & Differential Pressure Sensors

Choose the pressure sensor according to what you need to measure. Gauge pressure monitoring checks pressure in a supply line, while differential pressure monitoring compares two pressure points.


Wireless Carbon Dioxide Sensors

The ALTA carbon dioxide sensor measures CO2 concentration in ambient air. It supports applications such as indoor air quality observation, greenhouse monitoring and ventilation assessment. Readings can be reviewed through iMonnit, with notifications configured for selected thresholds.


Wireless Soil Moisture & Temperature Sensors

The ALTA soil moisture sensor measures soil water tension and soil temperature for applications such as irrigation scheduling and agricultural monitoring. Water tension readings are expressed in centibar or kPa, helping users assess changing soil moisture conditions.

Monnit ALTA Soil Moisture Sensor measures soil moisture tension & soil temperature within the soil. It uses a resistive granular matrix element to accurately measure the matric water potential (soil moisture tension) in the soil and a thermistor based temperature element to measure temperature.

Monnit ALTA® Wireless Thermocouple Sensors leverage Monnit’s award-winning remote monitoring platform to remotely monitor high-temperature applications, such as commercial ovens, kilns, and chimneys. Users benefit from a wireless data transmission range of 1,200+ ft, bank-grade security, and a temperature range of up to 400°C (752°F).

Monnit’s thermocouple is user-programmed to sleep for a specified interval, awake, capture analog data, and then convert this measurement into a temperature. If the sensor captures temperatures outside of user-specified thresholds, an alert is sent via text, email, or call. Monnit’s hardwired thermocouples feature a needle-style probe at the end of a 6’ lead (a K-Type Quick Connect Thermocouple is also available).
