WBGT monitoring for indoor and outdoor work

WBGT stands for Wet Bulb Globe Temperature. The SK-170GT calculates this index using environmental measurements, with separate indoor and outdoor settings.

The wind speed value is entered manually to support the calculation. The instrument does not measure wind speed, so this setting should reflect the conditions at the measurement location.

Functions for site checks

  • Adjustable alarm: A buzzer sounds when the set WBGT threshold is reached.
  • HOLD: Keeps a reading on screen while you note the result.
  • MAX/MIN: Displays the highest and lowest measured values.
  • Automatic power-off: Operates after approximately 20 minutes without use and can be disabled.
  • Tripod mounting: Supports stationary measurement using a compatible tripod.
  • RS-232C output: Enables real-time data transmission with an optional cable.
